Aegis is GetInSI’s evidence-first module for AI governance. It provides real inventory (no assumptions) of Shadow AI tools and Shadow Integrations across endpoints and browsers, then adds risk context per asset/area. Every run produces forensic-grade artifacts (JSON + hashes + append-only logs) to support audits and compliance.

Detect AI-related extensions and assistants in Chrome/Edge, including version, install source, and permission scope.

Inventory AI-capable software on hosts (copilots, desktop assistants, local LLM tools) using read-only evidence sources.

Shadow Integrations

Optional indicators for external AI/API usage from approved telemetry sources (domains + counts only, never payloads).

Explainable scoring per asset/area (HR/Finance/Clinical, PII/PHI-ready) for prioritization without guesswork.

Forensic Evidence

Immutable artifacts per run, SHA-256 (optional SHA-512), and append-only JSONL logs for chain-of-custody.

Privacy boundary: Aegis does not capture prompts or chats, does not inspect content, and does not intercept TLS. It focuses on deterministic inventory + metadata with audit-grade evidence.
